SPY x FAMILY CODE: White (劇場版 SPY×FAMILY CODE: White, Gekijō-ban Supai Famirī CODE: White?) is a Japanese anime film based on the SPY x FAMILY manga series by Tatsuya Endo. It was released in Japan on December 22, 2023, and will be released worldwide in 2024. It will be available very soon.

Loid Forger, codenamed “Twilight”, a talented intelligence agent in WISE’s Westalian Intelligence division, is on his usual mission when he is ordered to change his assignment. However, the new man chosen for Operation Strix is incompetent.
Meanwhile, a cooking competition is held at Eden Academy, the winner is rumored to be awarded the Stella Star. To show the progress of Operation Strix and negotiate with WISE to continue the mission and ultimately protect world peace, Loid suggests Anye prepare “Melemele”, a traditional pastry from the Frigis region and a favorite of the Director. who is also the chairman of the jury. So the Forgers decide to take a family trip to Frigis to get a taste of the real thing. On the other hand, Yor witnesses an exchange between Loid and the mysterious woman before they leave, leading to some concern about their temporary relationship during the trip.
During the journey, Anya discovers a key and finds a suitcase on the train through Bond’s visions. There is only one chocolate inside for some reason. The owner of the trunk returns and to her surprise, Anya accidentally swallows the chocolate. However, chocolate hides a serious secret that could threaten world peace!
And just like that, a series of events takes place along the way! The fate of the world was again entrusted to this temporary family.
Production and Promotion
The project was announced on December 18, 2022, along with a second season. It was announced that it would be an original story supervised by Tatsuya Endo, who would also be in charge of the original character designs.[2] On March 26, 2023, an official key visual featuring Forgers was revealed, along with a December 22, 2023 release date.[3] A teaser visual for the film was released on June 20, 2023, and the official trailer for the film was released on June 26, 2023.
To market the film, it was announced on July 2, 2023 that it would have a collaboration project with the game Street Fighter 6, with artwork revealed for the announcement. On July 10, 2023, a new poster was released mimicking the upcoming spy action film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One featuring characters other than the Forgers, along with a feature video for the film narrated by the Forgers voice actors.
On September 19, 2023, it was announced that it will have a collaboration with the Japanese company “NISSIN FOODS Group”, which began on October 2, 2023. On October 6, 2023, a collaboration with the Japanese company “Meiji Group” was announced, which began on October 13 2023. On October 31, 2023, it was announced that it will have a collaboration campaign with the Japanese subsidiary of “GlaxoSmithKline” starting on November 1, 2023. On November 1, 2023, it was also announced that the upcoming film will collaborate with the Japanese fast food chain “Hotto Motto’, with the poster revealed for the announcement. On November 13, 2023, a collaboration with Japan’s “Lawson” stores was announced, starting on December 19, 2023. On November 15, 2023, a major collaboration project with Ikebukuro-Tokyo’s Sunshine City was announced, which will take place from December 15, 2023 to January 28 2024.
On December 7, 2023, it was announced that a special booklet by Tatsuya Endo, SPY x FAMILY CODE: White Film Files, would be distributed to visitors and limited to 4 million people nationwide.[6] On December 19, 2023, a collaboration with the animated musical fantasy film Wish was released, featuring a special illustration mimicking the film’s poster and a video promoting both films.
On the day of the film’s release, a collaboration with Spotify was announced, creating an official playlist consisting of songs from the film and anime soundtracks, voice messages from the cast of Forgers, and a special program with Takuya Eguchi (Loid). In addition, two special short ads were released to promote the collaboration and featured special animation.
On the same day, a Bond statue was placed in front of the Shibuya 109 department store. The statue is similar to the Hachikō statue also in Shibuya, with Bond in the same position with a similar inscription: “Loyal Dog Bond” (“Chūken Bondo”, 忠犬ボンド?).[7] Later, on January 9, 2024, the statue was moved to Toho Cinemas Ikebukuro[8] where it remained until January 31, 2024.[9]
After the film’s release, on January 9, 2024, a special Shibuya Ward promo video was released. A second round of visitor gifts was also announced, this time an AR illustration card featuring Anya illustrated by Ende, with distribution starting on January 13, 2024 and limited to 500,000 people nationwide. Additionally, on the same day, it was also announced that the film will be released with English subtitles from January 19, 2024 in 9 selected theaters.[10]
On February 2, 2024, it was announced that motion-enhanced MX4D and 4DX versions of the film would be shown in select theaters starting on February 10, 2024. Additionally, on the same day, a third round of visitor giveaways was announced, this time snowflake sticker sets featuring movie characters, which will also begin distribution on February 10, 2024 and will be limited to 300,000 people nationwide.
